When you search the card catalog, the holdings of all 78 libraries are available to you.
With Internet access at home or work, you can place holds on any items and have them sent here.

The library staff will be happy to assist you in searching the card catalog and FREE computer classes are offered for all levels.
The Library’s open hours have increased and all school age children in the Hastings area schools receive FREE library cards, REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY LIVE—this includes public, private, and home schooled.
Our service area includes the City of Hastings and Hastings and Rutland Charter Townships. The millage collected from these residents provides operational funding only—NO OPERATIONAL FUNDING CAN BE USED FOR CONSTRUCTION PURPOSES.
CHECK US OUT—Books on tape and CD’s check out for three weeks, video rentals are FREE for a week ($1.00 a day overdue fines) and we offer year round children’s and adult programming!

Contributions to the capital campaign are a tax credit on your Michigan income tax. 50% of your gift, up to $200, or $400 if joint return, may be subtracted from your Michigan income tax. If you itemize your federal income tax, the gift can be deducted.
Pledge cards (payable up to three years) may be obtained at the library. Checks should be made payable to “Our Library Capital Campaign.”
An endowment fund has been established at the Barry Community Foundation, designated for Hastings Public Library. Contributions to this fund also qualify for Michigan tax credits.
