Reach Out And Read (ROAR) is a new literacy program, promoted by the Library, where volunteers read to developmental kindergarten and kindergarten students one-on-one.  The purpose of the program is to help students become familiar with the language of books to help inspire a love of reading.  Trained volunteers will reading weekly to the children.These volunteers attend a required, one hour, training session.
